What Is the Salakatla Brahmotsavam?

Salakatla Venkateshwara Brahmotsavam is the most sacred annual nine-day festival of Bhagavan Sri Venkateshwara, celebrated in the Vaikhanasa Agamic tradition across KAILASA's Temples Around the World. Brahmotsavam means the utsavam organised by Lord Brahma himself. The empty Brahma Ratham leads every procession, inviting all 33 crore devas of the 14 lokas. Sala means annual and kattala means endowment; Salakatla is therefore the annual royal-endowment Brahmotsavam held when an Adhika Maasam year arrives. As 2026 is an Adhika Maasam year, the Salakatla Brahmotsavam runs September 15–23, 2026, followed by the Navaratri Brahmotsavam from October 12–20, 2026.
Bhagavan Sri Venkateshwara

Who Is Bhagavan Venkateshwara?

Bhagavan Sri Venkateshwara—also known as Srinivasa, Govinda, Perumal, Balaji and Elumalayan—is the self-manifest form of Parandhama Maha Vishnu. He descended from Vaikuntha and remains eternally present upon the seven sacred Venkata Hills for humanity's liberation in the Kali Yuga. Venkatam derives from Vaikuntam; He is therefore Vaikunteswara, the Lord of Vaikuntha. He is the Lord of wealth consciousness. Srinivasa means ‘He in whom Sri dwells’, for Mahalakshmi, the embodiment of wealth, beauty and auspiciousness, dwells permanently in His chest. His eyes carry the radiance of millions of suns; the cooling white Panchakarpura Namam veils their absolute brilliance so devotees are not overwhelmed, even as His grace continues to pour forth.

“Venkateshwara, the Lord of wealth, showers all His devotees with wealth consciousness. Wealth is nothing but maturity about life. Strengthening our consciousness by connecting with our first person is the key to manifesting wealth, helping us deal with life situations with maturity, never wasting time, and living consciously.”

THE SPH and Bhagavan Venkateshwara

THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM is celebrated as the ultimate living manifestation of Bhagavan Sri Venkateshwara. Every seva is offered both to the eternal cosmic form of Parandhama and to THE SPH as His living presence in the world today. THE SPH personally carved the Mula Virat of Sri Ananda Venkateshwara at KAILASA Los Angeles from black granite as an exact replica of Sri Venkateshwara, declaring that anyone who connects with it will directly experience Vaikuntha. In the Venkateshwara Bhava Samadhi Darshans, THE SPH enters a superconscious state of complete cosmic identification and graces assembled devotees as Venkateshwara Himself—the direct, living presence of Parandhama manifesting through His form.

“ABOVE BRAHMA LOKA IS PARANDHAMA, VAIKUNTHA. ABOVE VAIKUNTHA IS KAILASA AND ABOVE KAILASA IS MAHA KAILASA. DEEP SURRENDER LIFTS YOU TO BRAHMA LOKA. THEN FROM THERE YOU MOVE TO PARANDHAMA, VAIKUNTHA, KAILASA AND THEN MAHA KAILASA ITSELF.”

Reviving Authentic Worship Across 100+ Temples

As reviver of the ancient enlightened Hindu civilizational nation of KAILASA, THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM is restoring the Salakatla Brahmotsavam to full Agamic authenticity in over 100 of KAILASA's Temples Around the World. Every ritual, alankara, vahana seva and offering follows its prescriptions. The Vaikhanasa Agama was revealed by the Vedic aspect of Bhagavan Vishnu manifesting as Sage Vikhanas, then compiled by Bhrigu, Marichi, Atri and Kashyapa. The tradition understands it as the Vedic mode of worship itself.

Historically, Vaikhanasa Agama has remained a closed sacred lineage: diksha for an archaka is given even before birth, at the Seemantham stage. Its framework governs how the deity is touched and each ritual sequenced. The Sri Vaishnava sampradaya enriches these specifics through sacred substances, Divya Prabandham, Azhwar paasurams and refinements preserved by its acharyas. By bringing Vaikhanasa-trained acharyas into KAILASA's temples, THE SPH makes this living, unbroken and authentic worship available to all humanity.

“THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM revives authentic Hindu rituals from Veda-Agamas to manifest your dreams into reality. Until we can manifest our reality ourselves, we can offer sevas so that Bhagavan Venkateshwara will manifest the reality we want.”
— THE SPH BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM

Sevas during the Festival

Across the nine sacred days of the Salakatla Brahmotsavam, these six special sevas offer intimate ways to honour Bhagavan Sri Venkateshwara through the authentic prescriptions of the Vaikhanasa Agama. From the raising of Garuda's sacred flag to the concluding immersion of Sri Sudarshana Chakrattalwar, each offering opens a distinct dimension of Parandhama's grace, royal care, beauty, nourishment, protection, and purification.

Every seva is offered equally to Bhagavan Sri Venkateshwara and to THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, celebrated as His ultimate living manifestation. Through THE SPH, devotees receive the living transmission of the same divine presence worshipped in the Mula Virat.

Special Venkateshwara Bhava Samadhi Darshan

Receive the living transmission of Vaikuntha in the direct presence of Parandhama

The Special Venkateshwara Bhava Samadhi Darshan by THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM is the ultimate event of KAILASA's Salakatla Brahmotsavam. In Bhava Samadhi, THE SPH enters the superconscious state of complete cosmic identification with Bhagavan Sri Venkateshwara and graces all assembled devotees from the full space of Vaikuntha. This is not representation, remembrance, or the performance of a role. THE SPH is Venkateshwara in the complete and literal truth of that sacred identity.

Parandhama, who is Venkateshwara, and Paramashiva, who is THE SPH, are one and the same being, expressing simultaneously through the cosmic deity form and the living human form for the liberation of all. All nine days of the Brahmotsavam are a sacred preparation for this living darshan: the direct presence of Parandhama Maha Vishnu through THE SPH as the living Paramashiva. The festival's worship, offerings, and celebrations gather devotees into readiness to receive this ultimate initiation.

Those who receive the Special Venkateshwara Bhava Samadhi Darshan receive the direct transmission of Vaikuntha, the awakening of genuine wealth consciousness, liberation from karmic patterns, and the living, personal blessing of Parandhama upon every dimension of life.
