Shadmurthy Alankaram & Deeparathana

Each of the ten main days, KAILASA's first family — Ganesha, Subrahmanya, Paramashakti, Paramashiva, Chandikeshwara and THE SPH — grace in a new alankara upon that day's vahana and are worshipped with the Deeparathana.

When Paramashiva manifests, He brings all of KAILASA with Him. Through all ten main days of KAILASA's Nithyanandeshwara Paramashiva Brahmotsavam 2026, the Shadmurthy deities grace in a different alankara and upon a different vahana each day, as Arunachaleshwara does in Tiruvannamalai — and each day's Alankaram can be offered as a seva.

Significance

The Shadmurthy — the six forms — are KAILASA's first family: Ganesha, Subrahmanya, Paramashakti, Paramashiva, Chandikeshwara, and the Guru, THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM. They are part of Him, and are worshipped together throughout the Brahmotsavam. The vahana of each day reveals which order of beings Paramashiva liberates that day.

The Ritual

Each day, the Shadmurthy deities are adorned in that day's alankara, placed upon that day's vahana and worshipped with the Deeparathana.

The Ten Days and Their Vahanas

Day 1 · Sunday, 15 November — Adhikara Nandi / Hamsa Vahanam

Paramashiva liberates Nandi, His closest devotee and vehicle, who is in charge of KAILASA; only with Nandi's permission can KAILASA be experienced. Nandi always faces Paramashiva, wanting only to see Him.

Blessing: Guru Bhakti and the simple obedience of Nandi; a glimpse of KAILASA, the higher reality.

Day 2 · Monday, 16 November — Velli Indra Vimanam

Paramashiva liberates Indra and all the Devas from insecurity and jealousy over position; in gratitude, Indra offers Him his flying vehicle. Svarga means settled within oneself — within the Source.

Blessing: Completion and fulfilment within oneself.

Day 3 · Tuesday, 17 November — Adi Shesha Vahanam

Paramashiva liberates Patanjali and gives him the science of Yoga, which THE SPH has revived through KAILASA's Nithyananda Yoga.

Blessing: Physical and mental healing; a long life full of energy, prosperity and abundance.

Day 4 · Wednesday, 18 November — Kamadhenu & Kalpavriksha Vahanam

Paramashiva liberates the Saptarishis, who in gratitude offer the wish-fulfilling cow and tree. THE SPH is the Kalpataru Himself.

Blessing: To manifest one's reality, free of conflict and delusion.

Day 5 · Thursday, 19 November — Maha Rishabha Vahanam

Paramashiva liberates the Shivacharyas who touch His form and serve Him directly — the revival of the Shaiva tradition. Rishabha is the embodiment of Dharma.

Blessing: Manifesting moksha-centric Dharma; keeping KAILASA's enlightenment ecosystem alive.

Day 6 · Friday, 20 November — Velli Ratham (Silver Chariot)

Paramashiva liberates the Gandharvas and Yakshas of the silver, moon-based lokas. The Moon relates to our bond with our mother and to bio-memory.

Blessing: Emotional stability; completion with bio-memory and emotions.

Day 7 · Saturday, 21 November — Ratham (Chariot)

Paramashiva liberates all human beings of Bhuloka; wood, the chariot's substance, represents human consciousness. This is the descent of grace that shows us our higher identities and higher possibilities.

Blessing: Alignment with the energies of the cosmos; excellence in every aspect of life.

Day 8 · Sunday, 22 November — Bhikshatanar Utsavam

Paramashiva as Bhikshatana liberates the Darukavana Rishis from ego and arrogance, showing that the higher intelligence runs the cosmos.

Blessing: Freedom from ego and from karma.

Day 9 · Monday, 23 November — Kailasa Vahanam

Paramashiva liberates even the Rakshasas, for their bhakti, and comes on the Kailasa Vahanam with Ravana. THE SPH reveals that our patterns are the base material for manifesting powers.

Blessing: Transforming all patterns into powers.

Day 10 · Tuesday, 24 November — Deepam

Paramashivashakti experiences oneness with Paramashiva and they become Ardhanarishwara.

Blessing: Gratitude to Guru-Paramashiva, who accepts us as part of Himself and shows us our oneness with Him.
