Ganesha Pratima Sponsor

Sponsor the sacred Ganesha Pratima installed and worshipped throughout KAILASA's Ganesha Chaturthi Brahmotsavam as the manifest body of Bhagavan Mahaganapati.

What Is It?

The Ganesha Pratima is the sacred festival murti of Bhagavan Mahaganapati. It is installed at KAILASA's temples, invoked through Prana Pratishtha, and worshipped throughout the Ganesha Chaturthi Brahmotsavam. Sponsoring this seva supports the divine form that receives every abhishekam, alankaram, naivedya and archana offered during the festival.

Prana Pratishtha is the consecrated invocation through which the presence of the deity is established in the Pratima according to the sacred tradition. From that moment, the murti is approached with reverence as Bhagavan Ganesha Himself, awakened and present to receive the love, offerings and prayers of devotees.

Significance

The Pratima is archavatara, the manifest body through which the deity accepts worship and directly bestows grace. During KAILASA's Brahmotsavam, the divine is not treated as distant or abstract. Bhagavan Mahaganapati is invoked in a form that can be bathed, adorned, offered food, praised through archana and worshipped through the complete sequence of temple rituals.

In KAILASA's temples worldwide, Brahmotsavam is the highest category of festival worship described in the Agamas, a sacred period in which Paramashiva and the entire divine assembly of thirty-three crore devas are invoked to descend to the earthly plane. The consecrated Pratima stands at the heart of this living field, making the presence of Bhagavan Ganesha directly accessible to every participant.

THE SPH BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM's own life began with a small Ganesha Pratima received as a birthday gift when He was three years old. THE SPH related to that form not as stone, but as Ganesha Himself: waking Him, bathing Him, offering Him food and living in continuous communion with Him. That direct feeling-connection became the beginning of His lifelong relationship with Bhagavan Ganesha and the Ganapatya Sampradaya.

To sponsor a Ganesha Pratima is therefore to make possible this same sacred relationship for another being. The offering gives devotees a manifest form before whom reverence becomes relationship, ritual becomes living communion, and the presence of Bhagavan Mahaganapati can be experienced through worship.

Benefits of Offering

The sponsor's sankalpa is associated with the festival Pratima that receives the worship of the Brahmotsavam. Each abhishekam, every ornament and flower, every naivedya, and every archana offered to Bhagavan Mahaganapati becomes part of the sacred field in which that sankalpa is held.

As Prathamapujya and Vighnaharta, Bhagavan Ganesha is worshipped for auspicious beginnings, the removal of obstacles and the restoration of completion. Sponsoring His manifest form is an offering for the wellbeing of the devotee, family and community, and for clarity, nourishment, abundance and progress in righteous endeavors.

The deeper gift is participation in establishing a living center of worship. A Pratima allows countless devotees to offer their devotion and receive darshan. By sponsoring it, the offerer supports not only the rituals of one festival but the possibility of a direct divine relationship opening in every person who stands before that form with sincerity.
