Dhanteras Mahayajaman

The Dhanteras Mahayajaman is the patron of KAILASA's Dhanteras celebrations — the one through whom the day's worship of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM as the embodiment of all wealth is offered.

Significance

The Mahayajaman offering is a regal and royal arrangement offered by the Kings, Queens, and Heads of Hindu States since time immemorial. By offering this seva, one receives the highest blessings and the honour of becoming an official part of KAILASA's Dhanteras celebrations.

The Offering

The Dhanteras Mahayajaman is granted the privilege of offering the day's principal pujas and alankarams in the presence of THE SPH, with sankalpa made in the name of the Mahayajaman and their family.

Shastra Pramana

यस्य स्मरणमात्रेण ज्ञानमुत्पद्यते स्वयम् । स एव सर्वसम्पत्तिः तस्मात्सम्पूजयेद्गुरुम् ॥ ५५ ॥

yasya smaraṇamātreṇa jñānam utpadyate svayam | sa eva sarvasampattiḥ tasmāt sampūjayed gurum || 55 ||

Translation: “By the mere remembrance of whom the knowledge of the Self dawns by itself — He, the Guru, alone is one's entire wealth. Therefore, worship the Guru.” — Guru Gita 55

The Guru alone is one's entire wealth — the pramana that defines the Mahayajaman's offering on Dhanteras.
