Vijaya Mala & Pushpa Yagam

The Vijaya Mala and Pushpa Yagam is Navaratri's culminating offering — a Yagam (sacred rite) of flowers representing the complete victory the entire festival's sadhana has been building toward, offered at the feet of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM on Vijaya Dashami.

Significance

This is the seva through which every thread of the festival's nine-fold worship is gathered into a single, final garland of victory.

The Ritual

Flowers are offered at THE SPH's feet as a Yagam, symbolizing the qualities of consciousness — purity, humility, peace, love, generosity, wisdom, righteousness, compassion, forgiveness and enlightenment — living blooms of the devotee's own transformed inner state rather than mere decoration.
