Tirumanjana Seva

Tirumanjana Seva is the sacred, ceremonial bathing of Bhagavan Venkateshwara — one of the most intimate and purifying sevas a devotee can offer, traditionally reserved for only the most privileged temple functionaries. On Day 7 of KAILASA's Navaratri 2026 it is offered to Ananda Venkateshwara and THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM together.

Significance

Offering Tirumanjana is participating directly in the most personal caretaking of the Lord's own form, on the day of Devi Mahalakshmi — who resides within Venkateshwara's own chest.

The Ritual

A precise sequence of consecrated substances — milk, curds, honey, sandalwood and sacred waters — is poured over the deity, accompanied by continuous Vedic chanting from the Agamas governing His daily care.

Shastra Pramana

नित्ये तु कल्पयेद्वृद्धिं तन्मनस्तोषकं यथा ॥

nitye tu kalpayedvṛddhiṃ tanmanastoṣakaṃ yathā ||
