Sri Vidya Samanvita Chandi Homa

The Sri Vidya Samanvita Chandi Homa is the heart of KAILASA's Navaratri 2026 — an unbroken fire of tapas offered twice every single day of the festival, in the morning (1st Kaalam) and through the night (2nd Kaalam), at KAILASA Sripuram, Nithyananda Janmabhumi Kshetram (NJK, Tiruvannamalai) and Adheenam Kailasa.

Offered under the guidance of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, this is Hindu Dharma's own answer to THE SPH's instruction never to miss a single day of sadhana: for the duration of Navaratri, the sacred fire to the Cosmic Mother in KAILASA's temples is functionally never extinguished.

Significance

The Sri Vidya Samanvita Chandi Homa is the rarest possible fusion within the Sri Vidya Sampradaya — a single fire ritual uniting the worship of Lalita Parameshwari, the Saumya (loving) form of the Mother, with Chandika Parameshwari, her Ugra (ferocious) form.

The Devi Mahatmyam devotes its entire twelfth chapter to the Phalastuti — the fruits of reciting and hearing the Chandi. Tradition holds that a homa performed during Navaratri using these very verses removes obstacles without exception, which is why the Navaratri Chandi Homa is regarded as one of the fastest and most complete technologies of transformation in Sanatana Hindu Dharma.

The Ritual

All 700 mantras of the Devi Mahatmyam — the Durga Saptashati, the Chandi — are offered as oblations into the consecrated fire, invoking Chandika Parameshwari directly in both her loving and ferocious aspects. Agni is a physical manifestation of divinity in its own right: sitting before the fire stills and purifies the mind even before a single mantra is chanted, opening the threshold between the human and the divine.

THE SPH has personally recited the complete 700 verses of the Chandi and revived its recitation as a living practice, teaching that the chanting of the Chandi alone carries the power to grant Enlightenment. This is the scriptural material now offered, verse by verse, into the twice-daily fire.

Shastra Pramana

न तेषां दुष्कृतं किंचिन्नापदस्तेषु दुःखजाः । यैः स्मृता एकवारापि दुर्गात्यायि परं शरणम् ॥

na teṣāṃ duṣkṛtaṃ kiṃcinnāpadasteṣu duḥkhajāḥ | yaiḥ smṛtā ekavārāpi durgātyayi paraṃ śaraṇam ||
