Navaratri Special Sri Vidya Samanvita Chandi Homa

Two nights of KAILASA's Navaratri 2026 carry an elevated, Special Sri Vidya Samanvita Chandi Homa — on Day 3 (13 October) at KAILASA Sripuram, and on Day 5 (15 October) at Nithyananda Janmabhumi Kshetram (NJK), Tiruvannamalai. Both kshetrams are chosen with intention: the fire is lit on soil already saturated with the presence and tapas of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM.

Significance

NJK is THE SPH's Janmabhumi — His birthplace-kshetram — standing in the shadow of Arunachala, whose Shivalinga is the Agni Linga, the very embodiment of the fire element among the Pancha Bhuta Lingas. It is here that THE SPH used to wait for hours for Annamalayar's darshan out of pure longing. KAILASA Sripuram is one of the principal Aadheenam campuses of KAILASA in India, one of the three anchor points — alongside NJK and Adheenam Kailasa — where the twice-daily Chandi Homa of Navaratri is rooted.

The Ritual

On both nights the full Sri Vidya Samanvita Chandi Homa is performed — all 700 mantras of the Devi Mahatmyam offered into the fire — with intensified sankalpa and larger congregational participation, gathering the accumulating tapas of the preceding nights toward a natural crescendo.

कार्तिके मासि नक्षत्रे कृत्तिकाख्ये महातपाः । मम प्रदक्षिणां गौरी प्रदोषे रचयिष्यति ॥
