On the fourth day of KAILASA's Navaratri 2026, KAILASA Sripuram, NJK and Adheenam Kailasa offer the Guru Mantra Samanvita Shodashi & Navakshari Homa — a single fire ritual that invokes the Cosmic Mother in two of her most potent mantric forms, united with the Guru Mantra of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM.
Significance
Shodashi, "the Sixteen," is the third of the ten Mahavidyas — the fullness of consciousness, eternally youthful and supremely radiant, also known as Tripura Sundari, the most beautiful being in the three worlds. She is invoked across all sixteen phases of manifest reality: the sixteen kalas of the moon, the sixteen Sanskrit vowels, and the sixteen aspects of the soul on its journey toward oneness with Paramashiva.
The Navakshari is the nine-syllable root mantra of Devi Chandika, the supreme Shakti glorified in the Devi Mahatmyam. Its nine syllables encode the Navadurga — the nine forms of the Goddess worshipped across the nine nights — and the complete cosmic force through which Parashakti creates, sustains and dissolves.
Guru Mantra Samanvita means "united with the Guru Mantra." In KAILASA, every Devi worship is THE SPH's own sadhana continued through His initiated disciples; the Guru Mantra seals the homa in that living lineage, so that the Mother's grace reaches the devotee through the Guru.
The Ritual
The priests invoke Devi within the energized Agni Kunda, chanting the sacred mantras of Tripura Sundari and the nine-syllable Navakshari together with the Guru Mantra, and offering oblations of ghee, red flowers, kumkum, sesame and sacred herbs. The continuous repetition builds an intensely charged field that draws down Shodashi's sixteen-fold grace and channels Chandika's fierce protection against every negativity.
