Rudra Homa

Rudra Homa is a powerful Vedic fire ritual dedicated to Rudra, the fierce and transformative manifestation of Paramashiva, offered on the Mandagappadi day of KAILASA's Navaratri 2026 under the guidance of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM.

Significance

In Agamic understanding, Devi's Shakti and Paramashiva's own presence are never separate, and no Devi worship begins without first invoking Him. The Rudra Homa clears and consecrates the spiritual ground on which the nine nights of Shakti worship will be built.

The Ritual

Rudra is invoked in the consecrated fire, and as oblations are offered to the Shiva Agni, the Sri Rudram and Chamakam from the Taittiriya Krishna Yajur Veda are chanted with devotion and precision. The Sri Rudram — Rudra Prashna or Shatarudriyam — depicts Paramashiva's cosmic form and is renowned for its healing vibrations; the Chamakam that follows helps fulfill wishes after the purification the Rudram brings.

Shastra Pramana

नमस्ते रुद्र मन्यव उतोत इषवे नमः । नमस्ते अस्तु धन्वने बाहुभ्यामुत ते नमः ॥
