Mandagappadi for Navaratri & Srivari Brahmotsavam

The Mandagappadi is the ceremonial threshold that formally opens KAILASA's Navaratri 2026 and the concurrent Srivari Brahmotsavam — the outer equivalent of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM's instruction to "collect yourself, connect yourself" before beginning any serious spiritual undertaking.

Significance

Sponsoring the Mandagappadi places the devotee's sankalpa at the very foundation of the festival, before a single subsequent seva is offered, so that the merit of every homa and alankaram across the following days carries their name at its root.

The Ritual

Offered at KAILASA's Temples Around the World, the ritual raises the sacred canopy under which the entire sequence of homas, alankaras and pujas will unfold, ritually preparing the temple to hold the intensified sadhana of the days that follow.
