Maha Ganapati Homa

No significant undertaking in Sanatana Hindu Dharma begins without first worshipping Ganapati, the remover of obstacles, and Navaratri's Purvangam is no exception. The Maha Ganapati Homa is offered at KAILASA Sripuram, NJK and Adheenam Kailasa under the guidance of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM.

Significance

Clearing obstacles at the very outset ensures the entire sequence of homas and alankaras that follow proceeds without hindrance — echoing THE SPH's Ganesha Chaturthi teaching of 14 September 2026 that even the intention to do Sadhana requires Ganapati's grace to manifest into unbroken practice.

The Ritual

Oblations are offered into the consecrated fire invoking Maha Ganapati, clearing every obstruction — inner and outer — that might otherwise stand in the way of the Devi worship to come.
