Annakut
A mountain of food offered on Vijaya Dashami, celebrating the abundance Devi's nine nights of grace have made possible.
Annakut — literally "a mountain of food" — celebrates the abundance and completion of the harvest season and, within Navaratri's arc, the abundance Devi's nine nights of grace have made possible. It is offered on Vijaya Dashami under the guidance of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM.
Significance
Annakut echoes Annapurna's blessing on Day 4 and closes the loop between what was asked for and what has been received.
The Ritual
An enormous, elaborately arranged spread of cooked dishes — laddoos, rice offerings and savories — is offered to the deity on Vijaya Dashami.
