Subrahmanya Mula Mantra Homa — Day 9 (28 Jul)
The warrior-flame fire offering using the root mantra of Lord Subrahmanya — commander of the divine armies, destroyer of Tarakasura — invoking divine willpower, courage, and victory over every inner and outer enemy.
Significance
The Subrahmanya Mula Mantra Homa is the sacred fire offering using the root mantra of Lord Subrahmanya — the second son of Paramashiva and Parashakti, commander of the divine armies, destroyer of the demon Tarakasura, and master of the Swadhisthana Chakra. Subrahmanya's Mula Mantra — Om Sharavana Bhava — is the cosmic resonance of pure divine willpower, spiritual courage, and victory over all inner and outer adversaries. The Kaumara Sampradaya — the tradition dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya — is one of the six ancient Shanmata paths established by Paramashiva for the liberation of all beings.
The Srivijaya Samrajya is the spiritual home of the Kaumaram tradition in Southeast Asia. The revival of Lord Subrahmanya's worship in Malaysia by THE SPH, particularly through Thaipusam celebrations where thousands receive free meals and Agamic initiations, is the living continuation of this ancient kingdom's dharma. To offer the Subrahmanya Mula Mantra Homa on this day is to invoke Lord Subrahmanya's full grace — protecting devotees from fear, black magic, and all internal enemies — and to contribute to the restoration of the Kaumara Sampradaya in Southeast Asia.
The Ritual
The priests invoke Lord Subrahmanya within the consecrated Agni Kunda and chant His Mula Mantra — Om Sharavana Bhava — offering oblations into the fire. The warrior-flame vibration of the mantra invokes pure divine willpower and victory over all adversaries, continuing the living dharma of the Kaumara Sampradaya revived by THE SPH in Southeast Asia.
