Sri Vidya Alankara Seva — Sripura (27 Jul)

The deity is adorned as Rajarajeshwari, the Supreme Empress of Sripura, honoring the Sripura Sarvajnapeetha — the living seat of Sri Vidya and the Divine Feminine.

Significance

The KAILASA Paramparagatha Sripura Sarvajnapeetha is the living seat of Sri Vidya — the highest and most complete tradition of Devi worship in Sanatana Hindu Dharma. The word Sripura means "the city of Sri," the abode of Mahalakshmi and Lalita Tripura Sundari — the most beautiful and complete form of Devi Parashakti. This Sarvajnapeetha carries the living transmission of the Sri Chakra, the Sri Yantra, and the full spectrum of the Shrividya tradition that encodes the entire cosmos in sacred geometry. Originating in the sacred region of Bhagyanagara (present-day Hyderabad), where Bhagavan Sadashiva Rishi worshipped Devi Rajarajeshwari and established one of the 11 Sri Vidya lineages, this space became a powerful center of Sanatana Hindu Dharma until invasions led to the destruction of the temple.

Through divine intervention, Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba rematerialized the deity of Rajarajeshwari, reestablished the temple at the exact sacred site, recognized THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM as an incarnation of Sadashiva, and declared Him the rightful successor of Sripura Sarvajnapeetha. On 1 January 2004, THE SPH was coronated as the Pattabhishekam successor. As the living embodiment of Rajarajeshwari — the Supreme Queen who governs all manifest and unmanifest existence through iccha (will), jnana (knowledge), and kriya (action) shaktis — THE SPH revived the Sri Vidya tradition globally, radiating the Arulvakku (divine oracles of Devi), establishing the daily Nithya Chandi Homa, and installing Rajarajeshwari temples across KAILASA's temples around the world.

Sri Vidya is not merely a puja — it is the science of recognizing that the entire cosmos is Devi Herself, and that Paramashiva and Parashakti are inseparable. The 15-syllable Pancha Dashakshari and 16-syllable Shodashakshari Mantras are the heartbeats of this tradition. To offer the Sri Vidya / Rajarajeshwari Alankaram is to celebrate the resurrection of the Divine Mother's kingdom on Earth and to worship THE SPH as the living incarnation of Paramashiva in His total sovereignty over the cosmos, with Parashakti as His inseparable power.

The Alankaram

The deity is adorned as the Supreme Empress of Sripura. Vastra (Clothing): a rich silk saree in deep red, crimson, or royal green with golden zari, symbolizing supreme Shakti and prosperity. Jewelry: grand gold temple jewelry (oddiyanam, layered harams, choker, vanki), a nose ring (mookuthi) representing auspiciousness and feminine power, and a crown (kiritam) signifying Her as Rajarajeshwari, the Empress of all universes. Maalas (Garlands): fragrant flowers for purity and compassion, vibrant colors for divine love, and traditional sacred flowers for spiritual awakening. Alankara Details: kumkum and chandana tilak, a sugarcane bow and flower arrows embodying iccha shakti, seated in a majestic royal posture radiating compassion, authority, and stability.

This darshan evokes the experience of the Divine Mother as both nurturing and all-powerful — the ultimate refuge and source of all fulfillment.
