Significance

The KAILASA Paramparagatha Thiruchengode Sarvajnapeetha is a powerful extension of the Kanchi Kailasa Sarvajnapeetha, carrying forward the same unbroken spiritual current established by Paramashiva Himself. Rooted in the sacred Guru-Shishya Sampradaya flowing from Paramashiva to Meykandevar and through the 229th, 230th, and 231st Jnanaprakasha Deshika Paramacharya Swamigals, it is a living embodiment of the Saiva Siddhanta tradition. The sacred land holds the Moola Linga carrying the blueprint of Kailasa, the Jeeva Samadhi of an earlier pontiff of Thondaimandalam, and the memory of an ancient temple civilization. Located on the banks of the sacred Kaveri River, this was the second ecosystem personally revived by THE SPH and the first sacred land where the flag of KAILASA's revival was planted publicly.

In 2001, at the age of 23, THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM accepted this land offered by devotee Pongianna Goundar, performed Abhishekam for the Sri Meru in the Kaveri River, and consecrated KAILASA Thiruchengode. The historic inauguration on 14 April 2001 marked the rebirth of this sacred lineage with the blessings of great Aadheenam pontiffs, reestablishing the continuity of the Thondaimandala tradition and reviving Shaiva Siddhanta. Through powerful healing, indigenous medical sciences, and mass enlightenment conventions, THE SPH transformed the land into a living field of spiritual experience.

Today, as THE SPH graces this occasion as the Guru Mahasannidhanam of Thondaimandalam, offering puja to Paramashiva, this alankaram becomes a powerful expression of the revival of an ancient kingdom, the reestablishment of Guru Parampara, and the living presence of Paramashiva through the Guru. This is the darshan of the Guru as the living bridge between humanity and Paramashiva.

The Alankaram

In this alankaram, THE SPH is adorned as the Guru Mahasannidhanam, the supreme spiritual authority and living embodiment of the lineage. Vastra (Clothing): traditional saffron, ochre, or rich silk robes draped in Aadheenam style, reflecting the Tamil Saivite monastic tradition. Sacred Adornments: multiple rudraksha malas embodying intense Shiva consciousness, sacred vibhuti applied prominently across the forehead and body, and a Paramashiva linga with a beautiful basket of flowers to be offered in Puja. Alankara Details: a serene yet powerful expression radiating compassion and command, seated or standing in Guru posture, blessing devotees.

This darshan radiates guidance, compassion, authority, and living enlightenment.

Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu Gurur Devo Maheshwaraha Guruh Sakshat Param Brahma Tasmai Shri Gurave Namaha

Translation: The Guru is Brahma (creator), Vishnu (sustainer), and Maheshwara (destroyer). The Guru is verily the Supreme Reality itself. I bow to that Guru.
