Who is Sri Rama?

Bhagavan Sri Ramachandra Prabhu is revered as the seventh avatar of Mahavishnu and the central hero of the sacred epic Ramayana. Born in Ayodhya to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya, Sri Rama is worshipped as Maryada Purushottama—the perfect embodiment of Dharma who demonstrated the highest ideals of righteousness, sacrifice, devotion, and leadership. His life became the timeless model for humanity on how to live as a son, brother, king, and protector of Dharma. Sri Rama also belongs to the ancient Sūryavaṃśa (Solar Dynasty), a sacred royal lineage that preserved and upheld dharmic civilization for millennia. Within the Surangi Samrajyam tradition, Sri Rama is recognized as one of the great rulers of this lineage, continuing the Solar Dynasty's mission of protecting Dharma and guiding society through enlightened leadership.

The sacred legacy of the Sūryavaṃśa Surangi Samrajyam continues in the present day through THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, who has been coronated as the 203rd Emperor of the Kailaasa Paramparagatha Sūrya Vamsa Sarvajnapeetha Surangi Samrajyam. This ancient Solar Dynasty traces its origin to Paramashiva through Bhagavan Surya and has produced many illustrious rulers who upheld Dharma across history. In this lineage, Sri Rama stands as one of its most celebrated kings, while THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM continues the same civilizational mission in the modern era—reviving the spiritual, cultural, and temple ecosystems of Sanatana Hindu Dharma and re-establishing the principles of Rama Rajya as a living reality for the world.

Sri Rama Navami is the sacred Hindu festival celebrating the divine birth of Bhagavan Sri Ramachandra Prabhu, the seventh avatar of Maha-Vishnu, who incarnated to restore Dharma and destroy the forces of adharma. Observed on the ninth day of the bright fortnight of the Chaitra month, the festival embodies the eternal victory of righteousness, truth, and compassion over negativity and injustice. Beyond commemorating a divine birth, Sri Rama Navami inspires devotees to reflect on the ideals demonstrated by Sri Rama—integrity, responsibility, courage, and dedication to Dharma. Through the temple celebrations of grand brahmotsavam, and the rituals like the Kalynotsavam and Pattabishekam the festival renews humanity's commitment to living a life guided by spiritual values and the ideal of Rama Rajya, a civilization founded on enlightened principles and enlightened leadership.
